I Want Holy God
Life-story of Little Nellie of Holy God
When the nuns of the Good Shepherd Convent in Cork, Ireland, welcomed the little three-year-old invalid Nellie Organ on May 11, 1907, little did they think that the great Pope Saint Pius X would say of her a few short years later: “She’s a little angel. Her patience was admirable, her resignation in suffering was so perfect. And then, she understood supernatural things in a superior manner”. Father Bernard des Ronces bases his account of Little Nellie’s life on the most reliable sources. The result is possibly the most complete biography of the child who was chosen by God to encourage Pope Pius X to allow little children to receive Holy Communion.

Forty Reasons I am a Catholic
Peter Kreeft My title explains itself. But it’s misleading. There are more than 40 reasons. Each of my reasons is an independent point, so I have not organized this book by a succession of chapters or headings. Which takes me back to my main point: “Why are you a Catholic?” is a good question. A good question deserves a good answer.

The Incorruptibles
Joan Carroll Cruz The bodies of saints that did not undergo decomposition after death are described as “incorrupt”. After discussing both natural and artificial mummification, the author shows that the state of the saints’ bodies fits neither category but rather constitutes a much greater, supernatural phenomenon.

Saint Catherine of Siena
Margaret Roberts Saint Catherine of Siena and Her Times tells the tale of Catherine, whose call to live a life of prayer and penance was trumped not only by the poverty and plagues of her day, but by the explicit orders of the Pope, who, hearing of her remarkable powers of reconciliation of enemies, called her out of obscurity to mediate between the warring parties, sometimes even at the risk to her life.
